Weekly Consultation Hours

Rechtswinkel Migranten has three consultation hours every week on which you can come by with your questions. Our employees will assist you here. For complicated questions, they can contact the cooperating lawyers. In addition, we also have telephone consultation hours. We advise you to take all decisions, documents, , e-mails, letters from the IND and the government to the consultation to be able to provide you with the best possible service.

What is a Law Centre?

A law centre provides free legal advice on several legal questions. Rechtswinkel Migranten is specialized in Migration Law. Our volunteers who offer free advice within Rechtsinkel Migranten are law students from different universities. They work on voluntary basis to gain experience in practice and at the same time they aim to apply their knowledge.

Can I make an appointment?

No, the consultation hour is based on walk-in. We try to help as many people as possible per consulting hour.

Does Rechtswinkel Migranten proceed if neccessary?

No, Rechtswinkel Migranten has opted not to litigate (yet) for its clients. However, we have a number of partners, so we can help you finding a suitable lawyer.

Does Rechtswinkel Migranten charge costs for the advice?

Rechtswinkel Migranten does not charge money for the given advice. If you are satisfied with the provided advice, you can leave a smal gift in a seginated pot. All contributions are also welcome on account number  NL74INGB0005649520 in the name of Stichting Rechtswinkel Migranten.

How long do I have to wait for an advice?

We try to limit the waiting time as much as possible to 10 working days. In case of complicated cases, it will be determined in consultation how long it will take. In some very complicated cased it may happen that you will be redirected to a third party who can offer you assistence.

In de zomermaanden (juli en augustus) zijn wij gesloten. In deze periode zijn wij ook niet telefonisch bereikbaar. Het eerstvolgende spreekuur is op dinsdag 3 september.

Tijdens deze maanden zijn wij wel per e-mail te bereiken. Vanwege de beperkte beschikbaarheid van medewerkers zal de beantwoording van uw e-mail wel iets langer duren. We streven ernaar u binnen een week een reactie te sturen.

During the summer months of July and August we are closed. You cannot visit us and you cannot reach us by phone during this time. We open again on Tuesday 3 September.
