Processing of your personal data by RWM

Stichting Rechtswinkel Migranten (hereafter: RWM) is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Through this privacy statement, which is in compliance with the GDPR, we (the volunteers at RWM) inform you about the data we collect when you are making use of our services, why we collect these data and how we manage this.

RWM reserves the right to change the privacy statement from time to time. We recommend that you check regularly whether the privacy statement has been changed or updated.

Purpose of the processing of your personal data by RWM

RWM processes your personal data in the context of our services. Your personal data will not be used for other purposes and will only be processed in case this is necessary for our services.

Provided personal data

The provided personal data are the data you have provided to RWM relating to your identity which became known to us via email, the contact form on our website or the consultation hours by phone or at walk-in hours. You can hereby think of age, gender, first and last name, phone number, email address, home address, marital status, nationality and residence status. In case it was required for our services, this can also imply bank records, income records or a copy of your residence permit. In case you are younger than 16 years old, your parents or legal representatives are obliged to read this privacy statement and to give permission when you want to provide us with your personal data.

Access to personal data within RWM

Your personal data can be accessed only by persons who work as volunteers at RWM.

Sharing your personal data with third parties

Your personal data will only be shared with third parties in case you have given us your permission for this. You can hereby think of organizations like other ‘rechtswinkels’ and ‘juridisch loket’ or our partner law firms. Your personal data will never be shared with third parties for commercial purposes. 

Protecting and keeping your personal data

RWM has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Your physical file will in any case be destroyed after a year. The office where this is kept is only accessible for volunteers of RWM. Your digital file will be destroyed after five years and is only accessible for volunteers of RWM via a two-step authentication. Our volunteers have a pledge of secrecy. Upon request, your personal data may be viewed or destroyed prematurely.

Questions and complaints

You have the right to look into your personal data, correct it or have it removed prematurely. Besides, you can object to the use of your personal data or you can request to limit the use of it. Furthermore, in case you suspect that your personal data is not safeguarded well enough, you can contact us.
